Ming Dynasty
The Ming dynasty was the ruling dynasty of China for 276 years (1368–1644) following the collapse of the Mongol-led Yuan dynasty. The orange patterned wall covering for this project was designed by a local designer. She took the images and symbols from renowned ceramics, porcelains and art of the Ming Dynasty and recreated this custom wall covering to fit the spaces exactly. To complement this recreated wall covering, JS Custom worked with the client to find a suitable wall covering for the other three walls. They arrived at a solution which was a grayish fine silk paper to enhance the overall look. Even though silk papers can be the most difficult to hang, the final look is a work of art.
